Wolfe at the Door is the playful sibling to the Wellington & Wolfe Pinot Noir from Tasmania’s Tamar Valley.

Crafted by winemaker Hugh McCullough, this Pinot Noir is sourced from two vineyards in the Tamar. It undergoes 15% whole bunch fermentation and rests in oak for just three months before bottling, ensuring a fresh, crunchy, and vibrant fruit profile.

It’s a lovely little red that bursts with tart cherries and rhubarb, accented by notes of orange rind and Aperol. The palate is bright and lively, with a pleasant tannic crunch on the finish. It’s a light-hearted wine designed for early drinking, and a great value entry point into the tasty world of Tassie Pinot Noir.

93 points
“Bright, sappy-edged red cherry, a slightly wild-eyed spice profile, amaro herbs, pressed wildflowers and crushed rocks. Very stony palate presence and an umami ache on the palate with a groovy watered-down-Ribena flavour on the tail end. There’s a lot of drinking joy here; spicy, diaphanous and very moreish. Pithy texture and plenty of crunch too.”
