One day in 2010 a friend of Parisian restauranteur Patrice du Jeu called him with an opportunity to resurrect a neglected vineyard in the charming village of Chassagne-Montrachet.

He jumped at the chance, packed his bags and ever since has lived his life in the pursuit of crafting incredible Burgundy and eventually Beaujolais.

Hritiers Saint-Genys’ vineyards span across the renowned regions of Cte de Beaune, Cte Chlonnaise, and even extend into Beaujolais, encompassing both village appellation and premier cru terroirs.

This is his iconic Morgon En Ruyere, consistently one of the top-rated Beaujolais from this revered cru.

It’s a stunning wine, powerful, complex and concentrated. It shows an elevated version of the Gamay grape taken to its highest heights.
