The 2021 Estancia del Silencio Monastrell is a delightful red from Via Elena, a family-run vineyard in Murcia dating back to 1948.

Started by their grandfather Francisco, the Pacheco sisters now helm this organic winemaking project.Monastrell grapes flourish in Jumilla’s distinct terroir, with its dry climate and chalky soils providing an ideal environment for this unique variety. The Estancia del Silencio project brings a fresh, vibrant twist to Monastrell, using organically farmed vineyards and meticulous cultivation, ensuring real purity and intensity to their wines.

Both nose and palate are packed with dark fruits – plums, blackberries and figs. Lovely firm structure and a hint of baking spices adds complexity without overwhelming the fruit’s natural fruit.
