The McIntyre Vineyard Chardonnay is the flagship white wine in the Moorooduc range.
As with most of the other Duc wines, this Chardonnay is whole bunch pressed and fermented with 100% natural yeasts giving it amazing texture and complexity. This combined with 100% naturally occurring malo whilst in barrel makes this one of the most intense iterations of Chardonnay on the Mornington Peninsula. James Halliday agreed, awarding it 96 points with the comment, “its special quality deriving entirely from the vineyard.”
It’s a serious, complex and powerful Chardonnay for real lovers of the variety.

“Chardonnay lovers know the variety can age gracefully (providing the stars have been aligned to produce an excellent one) yet I often wonder, why bother when it tastes this good right now?”
– Jane Faulkner (Halliday Wine Companion)

“Burgundian-like notes of nougat, roasted chestnuts, hazelnuts, orchard fruit and dried quince. Compelling. Long and thoroughly convincing, this is a wonderful Peninsula chardonnay.”
– Ned Goodwin MW (James Suckling)
