This version comes from the central-eastern Italian region of Abruzzo. The warm climate here, combined with moderating breezes from the nearby Adriatic Sea, allows the perfect conditions to grow these luscious, sweetly-fruited versions of ‘Monte’, but maintain balance all the time.

This comes from 15-20-year-old vineyards and is a flavour-packed Montepulciano, full of plummy fruit and spice. What it has though over most other Montes at the same price is a freshness and purity to the fruit, that really makes it so approachable and versatile.
