This exceptional2022 Les Dolomies Arco Savagnin comes from a 35-year-old vineyard in Nevy-sur-Seille, known for its stony marl soils and steep, rocky slopes. The vineyard is so challenging to work that Cline relies on her trusty donkey, Arco, to help during harvest, hence the name of the wine.

Winemaker Cline Gormally, along with her husband Steve, has been managing their vineyards without herbicides or pesticides since founding Les Dolomies in 2008. Their commitment to biodynamic principles and sustainable practices is evident in every bottle. Using compost as fertiliser and wild fermentation with minimal sulphur, Cline ensures her wines reflect the purest expression of their terroir.

The 2022 Arco Savagnin is vibrant and full of life, with a rapier-like acidity that cuts through flavours of quince, tangerine, and almond paste. The palate is intense and mineral-driven, finishing with a delightful saline kick.

With only around 10,000 bottles produced annually, Les Dolomies’ wines are highly sought after and cherished by Jura collectors worldwide. Only a few bottles available.

“Savagnin is the hero. As it usually is. Whoa. Big perfume. Fino sherry, faint toffee apple, lemon curd, lime, green apple, aniseed. Huge flavour profile but also this levity and freshness, crisp tannins shaping things with chalky pucker, fine, electric tang of acidity, all super saline and bright. Almost an adult lemonade meets fino feel overall. Its just stellar.”
