The Dhillon Col Mountain Grenache hails from the rocky, steep slopes of the Col Mountain vineyard in central Heathcote. Crafted with the same meticulous care as Michael Dhillons renowned Pinot Noirs, this Grenache exudes a vibrance and freshness.

This vintage offers a captivating nose with aromas of pomegranate, rhubarb, and raspberry. The palate is smooth and energetic, medium-bodied, with bright fruit and supple tannins. The chalky tannins provide a focused, flowing finish, dragging you back to the glass. It has fruit weight but is not exactly what you would class as a ‘big red’ but it’s got a big personality.

Produced with gentle handling, similar to Dhillons approach to Pinot Noir, the 2023 Grenache balances freshness with a touch more colour and weight. As the fourth vintage of Grenache from Dhillon, it continues to deliver delicious, refined flavours that showcase the exceptional potential of this Heathcote site in the hands of one of Australia’s best winemakers.
