Marc Ollivier of Domaine de la Ppire is considered not only one of the great craftsman of Muscadet, but one of the finest vignerons in the Loire.

His wines have an unusual density and richness, both for the variety and for the region. It’s a product of unique terroir (mostly granite which is unusual for Muscadet in the area) meticulous viticulture, and a measured, considered approach in the cellar which have seen these wines rise above the pack.

This is the perfect place to start to get to know Marc’s wines. It’s a wine born of 10 to 60-year-old vines made with his traditional method of wild ferments and a time resting on lees before bottling with light filtration.

It’s excellent value from this great producer and a great way to experience real Muscadet made with care and attention.
