Dr. Ray Nadeson is a master craftsman of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (although he also makes a mean cool climate Shiraz!). His unique wines have led the way for many other natural winemakers to follow, with technique and precision leading his low-intervention philosophical approach.

‘Menage a Noir’ is Ray’s ‘entry-level’ Pinot, and as far as Pinot Noir goes it’s about as good as it gets at this price. It’s made from multiple parcels of fruit from various Geelong sub-regions and is designed to be simultaneously approachable and interesting.

This is another extremely user-friendly release – the move toward more fruit-forward, bright and friendly style of Pinot Noir clearly doing wonders for the label. This is the perfect wine to get familiar with this standout Geelong producer.
