For her Gruner Veltliner offering, winemaker Erin Pooley sourced fruit from the Greenacres Vineyard in the Alpine Valleys.

The grapes saw a few hours of skin contact, the aim here to bring out the flavour and body from the Gruner – and it’s got that here in spades.

Unlike some Gruners, this is full of flavour and personality, with notes of green apples and pears, lemony citrus, and hints of nuttiness and ginger spice.

It’s compelling drinking and a unique slant on this emerging alternative variety.
