The White Label Chardonnay is a fantastic value introductory Chardonnay from up-and-coming Tasmanian-based vintners, Matthias and Lauren Utzinger.

Sourced from the picturesque West Tamar Valley, this Chardonnay begins its journey with whole bunch pressing, followed by a brief settling period before wild fermentation in mainly seasoned oak. Partial malolactic fermentation and 7 months on full lees contribute to its richness and weight, whilst maintaining the signature pure acid line that Tasmanian chardonnay is known for.

The nose is open and inviting, offering aromas of yellow stone fruit, vanilla, and hint of toasty brioche. On the palate, it delivers a fresh acid attack, white peach and green apple with a lick of spiced oak on the finish. Crunchy, refreshing and sophisticated, this is right on the money.
