From a single block of 1946-planted bush vines at the heart of Yangarras certified biodynamic vineyard, the Ovitelli is Grenache at its most poised and pure. This wine has become one of the benchmark expressions of the variety in Australia – a study in restraint, precision, and site transparency.

Sourced from Block 30, adjacent to the famed High Sands vines, the fruit is meticulously berry sorted, destemmed, and fermented in large ceramic eggs. The wine remains on skins for seven months post-ferment, no pressings, no oak, just slow, patient development in ceramic. The result is something electric.

The 2023 vintage brings cool-season finesse to this already ethereal wine. Its delicate but structured, coiled with redcurrant, blood orange and pomegranate, laced with crushed herbs and a saline, stony edge. The tannins are fine but firm, and the finish lingers with precision.
