The 2024 vintage across the Mosel was a proper throwback for Katharina Prm. It was a cool, traditional growing season that demanded patience, pushing harvest well into October. Instead of the massive warmth of recent years, this vintage is all about an effortless sort of composure, absolute purity, and immense charm.

The Wehlener Sonnenuhr is the estate’s headline act, a dizzying wall of weather-shattered grey slate rising straight out of the river. For this Goldkapsel bottling, the team select only the most pristine, botrytis-affected bunches. It gives you a deeper layer of concentration without losing any of that cool-climate tension.

That classic, smoky Prm sulfur reduction lifts away to reveal a dense core of candied citrus rind, poached orchard fruit, and damp slate. The unforced grape sweetness is intense but gets completely sliced apart by an electric line of natural acidity. We reckon this is on par with their best releases yet, a masterclass in low-alcohol power built to sit in the dark for forty years.
