The 2024 Mosel harvest was a proper throwback for Katharina Prm, forcing a late October dash that rewarded patience with a cool, classic, and entirely effortless style. If you want big, heavily extracted alcohol, look elsewhere. This vintage is all about pure charm, crystal-clear transparency, and light-footed composure.
Wehlener Sonnenuhr is the estate’s headline act, a dizzying face of weather-shattered grey slate that breeds incredible complexity. Rather than messing with the fruit in the cellar, the winemaking relies on native yeasts and time-honoured traditions to let the vineyard speak without any artificial volume turned up.
That trademark Prm reductive matchstick flick settles quickly, unlocking a stream of green orchard fruits, white peach skin, and wild summer blossoms. It sits lightly in the mouth, carrying an unforced grape sweetness that gets pinned down beautifully by a salty, wet-stone mineral finish.
