Alberto Buratti grew up surrounded by his grandfather’s vineyards and soon was introduced to low-intervention wine by his uncle, Marco, from the Azienda Agricola Farnea. After studying history of art in Padova and pursuing a Master’s in art markets in Milano, he decided to return to his roots and take over his grandfather’s farm in 2019.
Located in the town of Rovolon, on a serene segment of the Colli Euganei around Monte della Madonna, the north-facing vineyards cover 3.2 hectares and host vines up to eighty years old. Despite the volcanic origin of these hills, the soil here is composed of sedimentary rocks, mainly white and red marl: a fortunate terroir that contributes to the quality of the fruits, allowing for organic, minimal intervention practices both in the vinyard and the cellar.
