GLENGOYNE 30YO SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY 46.8% 700ML

A 30 year old single malt from the Glengoyne distillery is not to be missed. Satisfyingly sherried to create a beautifully full-bodied whisky, this beauty was matured in Glengoynes traditional dunnage warehouses, using one-third first-fill European oak Sherry butts and two-thirds refill Sherry butts.

Bottled non-chill-filtered and with its natural colour at 46.8% abv, this Highland single malt is a limited release, with only 6,000 bottles, taken from 13 casks, made available each year.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE:
Slightly oily, floral honey and tangy marmalade dominate, with touches of rum-raisin ice-cream and all-spice present.

TASTE:
Rich, dark and thick. Sherried fruit galore, with morello cherry compote, plum jam and a layer of rich oak. Warm baking spices, cinnamon and ginger give a pleasant pinch, with a nutty backdrop.

FINISH:
Long, with candied orange peel rounding it off.
