The latest from one of our favourites producers, behind the excellent Folle Blanche, this Muscadet is made from hand- harvested Melon de Bourgogne.
This Muscadet has a delightfully fresh, zippy, citrus-scented character with green apple notes and a gentle savouriness to it. On the palate however, its weightier than expected, a serious white wine with a full body and plenty of fruit intensity. It has extra weight and texture from ageing “sur lie” (resting on its own yeast lees after the fermentation) for an extended period of time, giving the wine a richer, generous fruit profile.
