Tasting Notes

Aroma
The 2018 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon starts out with savory aromas of raspberry, dried blood orange, violet and black tea. As the wine opens, deep fruit flavors of black currant, bramble, red plum, and milk chocolate begin to show.

Palate
The palate is rich and inviting with purposeful tannins, considerable length and plenty of concentration.

Vinification
The fruit is handpicked and destemmed before primary fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in barrel.

Maturation
19 months barrel aging in 38% new French oak.

Region notes
As a blend of our best Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard sites, the Estate bottling is one of the most compelling illustrations of the Stonestreet Mountain. We blend this wine with discerning precision, balancing aromatic intrigue, texture and the Mayacamas signature structural elements into a pure reflection of the vintage.
