50% of this wine was fermented in old French barrels, not for the oak, but for the form of the vessel itself. Mouthfeel is gained here by high lees to wine contact and a more efficient natural lees stirring across unhurried wild ferments.

RIPPON WINES

Rippon is one of New Zealands most established family-run vineyards, home to some of the oldest commercial vines in Central Otago. The biodynamic farm has been cared for by the Mills family for four generations and its 14 hectares of vines producing wines with a strong following across the globe.

Rippon winemaker and General Manager, Nick Mills, is delighted with what he sees as a natural progression within Australia. As our closest neighbour, Australias always been a key market for Rippon. Weve built some great relationships over the years, and were really looking forward to getting back to the Australian trade, catching up with old friends and making new connections alongside the red+white team.
