The entry-level The Dalmore 12 Year Old spends its first nine years in ex-bourbon barrels, then half gets sent to Matusalem butts while the rest is aged in former bourbon casks.
This aging process results in a thick, rich flavor with a combination of sweetness and rich, sherried flavour that you wouldn’t quite expect from a 12 year-old whisky.
