One for the lovers of dry, pure Pinot Noir. Perfumed and full of sour cherry, blackberry and strawberry aromas, with hints of game and underlying chalky minerals. A touch of oaky spice brings it all together for a refined, long finish. The mouthful is light yet nicely textured. Matured in small barrels, and ready to be enjoyed now or in a couple of years.

Domaine Thierry Mortet was formed in 1992, when Domaine Charles Mortet was split between Thierry and his brother Denis, and Thierry set up on his own with just 4 hectares of vines. This particular release comes from Clos Prieur, a Premier Cru just south of the Gevrey-Chambertin village. Thierry has been certified organic since 2007 and he is working towards biodynamic certification.
