A phenomenal German Pinot Noir with the complexity and depth to challenge wines twice its price from Burgundy and elsewhere. The red fruit comes through nicely, bursting with notes of cherry and plum, as does a strong scent of roses and violets. It spends almost a year in used oak barrels, so picks a nice undertone of spice, smoke and supple, well-integrated tannins.
