ORGANIC / NATURAL / LOW SULPHITE
A nose of beautiful complexity, with notes of quince, citron, honey and almond. The palate is rich and fleshy, with wonderful volume, and a long finish with a hint of brioche.
The story of this vintage is of a complicated year with fierce frost. With very low yields, the winery blended the grapes from all of their parcels to make this wine, which is a great expression of the variety and the vintage.
Tony Bornard is the son of renowned (and now retired) producer Philippe Bornard. He struck out on his own in 2013, then merged his estate with his fathers in 2017, bringing him to 11.5 hectares of land in the town of Pupillin in the Jura region. The wines span two appellations, Arbois-Pupillin and Ctes du Jura, but Tonys plan for the next few years is to remove his wines from the appellations to allow him more freedom in his process. Nevertheless, we’re sure they will keep being the fresh and special gems they are now.
