A vibrant expression of Northern Rhne Syrah, La Ferme des Sept Lunes crafts this wine with minimal intervention, allowing the character of the granite-rich Saint-Joseph terroir to shine. Aromas of black fruits, spice, and subtle cocoa notes lead to a structured yet fluid palate, where juicy dark fruits mingle with gentle tannins and a mineral, saline finish. This Syrah captures freshness, purity, and a true sense of place, reflecting the estates commitment to organic and sustainable viticulture.
La Ferme des Sept Lunes is located in the commune of Bogy on the right bank of the Rhne, between Vienne and Valence.
Under the stewardship of winemaker Jean Delobre, the former family farm (established in polyculture) converted to organic viticulture in 1997 and subsequently to biodynamic practices.
The vineyard covers around 10 ha of vines (mainly Syrah for the reds) and is complemented by cereals, prairies and fruit trees to foster biodiversity. In the cellar there is a focus on whole-bunch or gentle destemming, long macerations, open concrete and barrel aging, with no fining or filtration and very low sulphur usage. The result is wines that capture freshness, purity and a true sense of place from the granite slopes of Saint-Joseph.
